Our parents watched the girls this past weekend (THANKS AGAIN!!!) and Phil and I enjoyed a long COLD weekend in Canada to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Lucky for us, my mom’s best friend, Kristi, was an event coordinator at a Hilton for a long time and was able to get us a discount on our room! We LOVE her! The extra cash came in handy seeing as how everything is so expensive there! The only other thing that didn’t really go as planned was getting stopped at the Canadian Border. AGH! I don’t know what triggered them, but we all had to get out and go in to Immigration where they did background checks on all of us and asked us 1287943249569637 questions before letting us go…seriously. We had a beautiful view from our hotel room and had a lot of fun while we were there so I really can’t complain!

The view from our room! Gorgeous!
We were SO excited to pick up the girls on Sunday! It was the longest we’ve ever been away from either of them. L Of course somehow EVERYBODY found out that the girls were going to be at my parents’ that day so there was a full house when we arrived…my mom and dad, my sister, by brother and his girlfriend, MY Grandma, Kristi and her husband, and Kristi’s mom! ("Gamma Bonnie!") Whew!
Other than that, nothing really new in our neck of the woods…er, city?? But of course, we do have more pictures to share!
Addy sandwich!!
