4th of July weekend!

What a jam packed 4th of July weekend! Friday we went to my parents house for a cookout with my whole family. The 10 (and 1/2) of us grilled some steaks and sat on the screened in porch. The weather was perfect to eat outside and just people watch. Afterwards we went with Jacqueline and Morgan and their kids to the balloon glow. (Sorry you can't see the balloons in any of the pictures. Probably should have turned my flash off. duh!) It's so convenient that they live on the same street! After the glow we headed back to my parents to make s'mores. My fav! I think Alexis and Hayden liked MAKING them more than they did eating them. But that's ok...mommy will eat them! ;-)

Saturday morning we were lucky enough to have the push 'em, pull 'em parade right in front of our house. Alexis loves watching all the kids and this year they had horses. All she wanted was to ride one, but she settled for the candy the kids threw her way. We also went to a wedding on the 4th for my friends Heather and Aaron ! I thought that was such a neat idea! Everything was red white, and blue, the weather couldn't have been more perfect, and they even shot off fireworks when they kissed. Adorable!

On the 5th of July we went to Phil's' parents' for some more yummy food and to let the boys (Phil and Jordan) shoot off some of the fireworks. By this time, Phil was DYING to do them because I wouldn't let him shoot them off in town. Ok... maybe just a couple. ;-)
